Across the room you notice a white Hrothgar, the white of his fur dominating his body threatened by pink accents.

In a fleeting moment he flashes you a grin, and a wink.

The chatter and loud music surrounding you makes it impossible to hear him, but you swear he called you over.

He's saying he wants to meet you, know you, listen to your story.

He wants to get out of here, and invite you with him.

Or are you just imagining things?

Clarice grew up in a difficult situation in Eulmore. Neglected by his family, rejected by his society, and unseen by passersby, he resorted to emotional manipulation and nimble fingers to scrape by. When the Jongleurs sought a charismatic dancer to choreograph the next event at the Beehive, he saw an opportunity. Soon after proving himself able bodied and physically adept, he took on other jobs and tasks, primarily in hunting. The targets? Those who would rebel against Lord Vauthry.

He was taken in by the Jongleurs and learned the ways of the Prankster's Gambit, a means to defend himself via trickery and general shenaniganery. He used his new skills to detain miscreants, but found himself questioning the ethics of his actions. Why would people want to leave the protection and blessings of Eulmore? It wasn’t long before he was asked to detain a mother and her newborn babe, and in doing so tearing a family apart.

Not agreeing with the region's ideology, he quietly began his own form of rebellion: escape. He used his talents to woo the patrons to the Beehive, persuading them to reveal information that would aid in his escape. He learned of lovers, secret tunnels, and the story of the Warrior of Darkness: someone who fought tooth and nail to save the world from the evil that is the Light.

Soon after the Warrior of Darkness freed the whole of the First from the Light, he felt inspired to take his talents and unique abilities elsewhere. He put his skills to the test, convincing the Crystal Exarch to help the now hopeful Clarice make his way to Eorzea, and land he thought of as an opportunity to start anew and leave his troubled past behind.

Wide eyed and bushy browed, he found himself in the same predicament he did back in Norvrandt, being lost and alone. But this time, he was prepared. He took his performance skills to different venues; bars, clubs, parties. He was a stranger to none, making connections where he could. It’s this pursuit of a new life, desire of companionship and hope for a new life that drives him to be the man you see today.
